On Tuesday 11th January, the Bishop of London
Sarah Mullaly spoke during the House of Lords’ first day of the Health and Care
Bill’s committee stage. During her intervention, Bishop Sarah spoke of the
benefits to including those with a patient-background on the boards of healthcare
bodies, and the need to have a patient-centred approach to care, with patients
“far too often” being seen through the eyes of a clinician, “which isn’t always
in the best interests of patients.”
