Capital Mass launches to help churches in London tackle poverty

Capital Mass, the joint venture between the Church Urban Fund and the Diocese of London to alleviate poverty in the capital, has been launched at St Paul’s Cathedral.

The event, which was attended by the Bishop of London, Richard Chartres, brought together a cross-section of organisations and speakers who work to tackle poverty and inequality across the Diocese. Organisations and speakers in attendance included JustShare, based at St Mary le Bow, and Clean for Good, an ethical cleaning company that is the brainchild of the team at St Andrew’s-by-the-Wardrobe. Capital Mass’s Chairman, the Bishop of Stepney, the Rt Revd Adrian Newman also addressed the attendees.
