The Bishop preached and presided at a service at the Society of Mary and Martha, a charity that supports people in Christian ministry at times of stress, crisis or breakdown. During the visit the Bishop, a patron of the charity, blessed the farmhouse after a series of internal changes were made and the building was rethatched.
