Three new Archdeacons for London installed at St Paul’s Cathedral
Three Archdeacons for London have been installed at a service in St Paul’s Cathedral. During Choral Evensong the Bishop installed The Ven Luke Miller as the Archdeacon of London; The Ven Rosemary Lain-Priestley as the Associate Archdeacon of London and The Ven Liz Adekunle as the Archdeacon of Hackney.
Having read the Deeds of Commission, the Bishop welcomed the three new Archdeacons and prayed for them before presenting them to the Dean of St Paul’s, the Very Revd Dr David Ison, who formally installed them into their respective stalls in the Cathedral’s Quire as members of the College of Canons.
The three new Archdeacons now complete the London team, following last year’s instillations of the Rt Revd Ric Thorpe as the Bishop of Islington; the Rt Revd Graham Tomlin as the Bishop of Kensington; the Rt Revd Robert Wickham as the Bishop of Edmonton and the Venerable John Hawkins as the Archdeacon of Hampstead.
