Earlier this week the Bishop of London, the Rt Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally DBE, opened two new schools in the Twyford CofE Academies Trust, Ada Lovelace CofE High School and Ealing Fields High School.

Following a tour of each school, the Bishop presided over a Service of Dedication committing each school to be a beacon of light for all who will grow and flourish – both current students and generations to come.

In keeping with official guidance, the services were attended by a limited number of guests including student, staff and governing body representatives from each of the Trust schools, Ealing Council, the contractors, the Department for Education, London Diocesan Board of Schools and the Area Dean.

The Bishop of London, the Rt Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally DBE said:

“It was a pleasure to join staff, students and guests to celebrate this momentous occasion and to dedicate and bless the two new schools. My sincere congratulations and thanks go to all those involved in the project, from the architects and developers to the staff and students. May God bless the schools and their communities that they will flourish.”

Dame Alice Hudson, Executive Headteacher of Twyford CofE Academies Trust commented:

“It was wonderful to have had the Bishop of London officially bless our two new schools in their new buildings which are already providing outstanding learning environments for our students. We remain hugely grateful to both the teams of Kier Construction and Bowmer + Kirkland and for all the patient work behind the scenes by the elected members and offices at Ealing Council and at the DfE to deliver these stunning new schools for the local communities which they serve.”

Ada Lovelace CofE High School and Ealing Fields High School moved into their newly built sites on Parkview Road and Little Ealing Lane at the beginning of September having previously been housed at William Perkin CofE High School and on a temporary site on Wyke Gardens respectively.
