Bishop Emma also had the opportunity to visit the ringing room in the bell tower of St Paul’s Cathedral to pray with the bell ringers ahead of the Easter morning Eucharist. The moment offered a reminder of the vital ministry of bell ringers, whose work proclaims the joy of Easter morning and calls communities to come and join in worship for Christ’s victory of death.

Later that morning, Bishop Emma preached at the Easter Day service at St Paul’s Cathedral, joining worshippers in celebrating the risen Jesus and the promise of new life. The service brought Holy Week to a joyful conclusion, proclaiming the Easter message of renewal, hope and resurrection at the heart of the Diocese.
